I've been stressing over how do I make the audience give a crap about a character in eight minutes or less. My script is currently sitting at 12 pages and it's not even complete yet. The type of story that I decided to do for my film has the conflict of Man vs Self which is hard because I don't have a direct protagonist other than himself. The only requirements I have are that it has to be 4-8 minutes. It feels like writing this screenplay is like a giant struggle. I'm leading and directing a student film project that I'm supposed to work on. I'm probably over complicating things, but I'm struggling right now.
